It will sit there for days doing this....
Do yall know whats wrong or know any fixes?
Probably your code and the link that make it halt.
We dont know what you do even, you never leave enough info on your issues.
have you tried to add a new article with some other code ?
What code so you use ? what article are you try to add ? What are the code suppose to do ?
Please learn to post up as much info you can before you post a question. We cannot sit here and guess everything
Dude. I pressed the button to add a new article. I type in the code your see in the picture. I pressed Save. That is all the info i can gave you because thats all there is...
Im not a dude....
have you check it in the default theme ? Did you try what i suggested in my first post ? Another code and see if it is the same with that ?
Even with the default Theme, which makes no difference, it did not work.
Why are TDM and IP underlined in red?
Did you try different code to see if maybe it is the code you are using as suggested?
thats his browser saying spelling, firefox does that
Ah. I'm still wondering about whether it's something else that is being loaded that's taking time. He hasn't told us what happens when he tries other text in his article.
When I try other text, it does the same thing.
So you have not been able to create any articles on your site?
Nope. The article you see on the main page is one from my old website...
Also, do you think this is a problem with my web hosting. It is ran on a windows server with very low file permissions.
thats what im beginning to suspect. do you have issues with your members posting on the forum?
Quotedo you have issues with your members posting on the forum?
Nope. They post fine.
ok so it basically hangs up on anything not forum related?
Ie any type of article, attempting to shout
Ok but it is allowing you to create blocks? IE enter code and save it?
Question, do you have friendly urls activated in your site, example does it create posts with .html on the end.
QuoteQuestion, do you have friendly urls activated in your site, example does it create posts with .html on the end.
How do i find that out?
In your admin/Configuration/ Features and Options/you have search friendly url a bit down in the list.
That needs to be unchecked on a windows server as it only apply to linux and apache servers
Ok found it. It was unchecked.
Any other Solutions...?
Are you by any chance using the SEO mod from SMF?
I have read that has some odd issues with articles as well.
What errors do you have in the error log ? Also a link to your site would be good now
SMF File Manager 2.0.3, TinyPortal 1.052, and XFire Field are the only smf mods I use.

HAPPY?
Now you say you have SMF File Manager 2.0.3, and XFire Field and from your error log I see that you have a blog to.
Why do you lye to us ?
Learn how to find your way through the admin panel, we dont run your forum, we dont build it, we cant teach you every single little setting in your forum that you SHOULD KNOW by your self. We dont support SMF, and things we ask for you to check are just that. SMF basic knowlage settings.
Before you post another question and before you write up another lye for us, please point your browser to the SMF forums and read the basics how to in their docsection, when you have done that, come back here and read the basic how to from our doc section.
We are support yes, but as i said before, we do not run your site, you have to do that your self.
And with the lyes we cant keep up the support for you, there are others that also need our attention so right now i just feel i rater tend to their questions then to yours cause you are not straight with us.
Dude. I though you meant mods with TP. Not SMF. Those are mods with SMF. I am very new to all this. I am not trying to lie to you. I just wanted some help. Who care that I need just the little thing fixed. I want my website to look nice and this is a Support forum.
Also, I am not having any problems with SMF, they are all to do with TP. Thats why I am here.
The errors in the log say that you have issues with other mods, not TP
Blog doesent come with tp as one example.
Can you please browse to SMF and read their docsection so you atleast learn how to use the base software before we continue with support for TP ?
We cannot teach you how to find and use the SMF forum software, 80% of the posts we have made so far is just pointing you in directions regarding the SMF and how to find things and use the SMF.
Thats not our "job" to teach you how to use the forum software at all, we are here to support TP and nothing else, and the issues you show are not related, i think you have quite a mess with your files from diffrent mods, so the best way for you to go now is to start with all new fresh SMF files and go from there.
The errors indicate you have code strings from other mods you have eather tried or used before, or even HAVE right now.
I know how to use SMF really well. Just TP I do not.
All mods are mods of SMF. TP is a mod of SMF. All mods can affect each other and many mods can affect TP. That's why we ask about what other mods have been installed when there's a problem with TP.
So, now that you know what we're talking about, what other mods to SMF have you installed?
One suggestion is to uninstall everything but TP and see what happens. All of this has to be done with the default theme, of course. Check everything out, especially those things that you've been having trouble with. If your problems are fixed, then add the other mods, one at a time, each time testing out the features to see when the problems arise.
The ideal is to install TP before you install any other mods. It's not an absolute requirement, but you're less likely to have problems.
It really is a good idea to have a separate installation of SMF, with the mods you want to include. Test out everything on the test SMF before you ever put it on an active site.

Now I know. If you said Packages, I would have reconiged what You have said. There is a thing under Tiny portal in admin called Modules so I thought you meant that.

Done. Still does not work...
Any other suggestions???
Yes. Tell us what other mods you have installed.
As I said, I deleted them all. The mods on there before were SMF File Manager 2.0.3, TinyPortal 1.052, and XFire Field. I deleted SMF File Manager 2.0.3.
Well, here's what I would do if I were you.
I would set up a separate database and a subfolder in my webspace. I would install SMF and TinyPortal and see what happens then. If it works, you know that there is a problem with your current live installation. If it doesn't, you'll know there's a problem with your server. There aren't problems with SMF and TinyPortal, because other people have successfully used them.
