I am new to Tinyportal and as such a question along this line may have been answered previously although I did not find anything searching the forums.
The way I have my site configured right now is the main page is http://www.vm-world.net. My forums site is a sub-domain, forums.vm-world.net. I would like to have the main contents of Tinyportal at www.vm-world.net but when I click the forums link i would like users redirected to the full forum page at forums.vm-world.net without the forums themselves encapsulated inside of tinyportal with the boarders, etc.
How would I go about doing this? Currently my main page has been running wordpress but I would like to integrate my links, news and blog posts with tp instead.
Thanks
You can't have TinyPortal in a separate domain to the SMF forum.
There are topics that do discuss this and I think Dragooon was working on displaying blocks on other pages.
But currently TP is Dependant on SMF as they share the same database.
Okay thanks. I was aware that they share the same database. I guess I was hoping there would be some kind of easy solution that would make this work. I suppose one could maybe setup a second database, configure it with smf and tinyportal, limit it to just the blocks and frames and link from there to my sub-domain. Actually. I dont see why that would not be possible...a little convoluted a process but workable i suppose if one wanted to approach it that way?
