Good day
Running SMF 1.1.4  Using the Phobos theme, it's orange and grey.  90% of the packages I try to install give me an error saying the package is corrupt or not compatable.  I'm using similiar setup but different theme on the same host with no problems.   Even when stalling standard packages like SMFarcade and things it gives me this error.   Some packages do load, for example, Ultimate Shoutbox, Custom Profile Field Mod and SMF Gallery Lite. 

Suggestions? Comments, Advice?

I'm not a programmer, nor do I pretend to be one, but can install applications and follow directions  ^-^

This seems to be a problem with SMF not TinyPortal.  You might want to ask for help over at SMF

In addition when installing packages you want to use the Default theme

The modifications[mods/packages] you are trying to install are most likely for a different version of SMF.
Make sure the mods you are trying to install are compatible with 1.1.4 before trying to install them.
Also as Anubis stated, always install your mods while you're on the default theme.

Take note that some themes that you use might need a manual install to add a mod to the theme.
Such as your gallery and your arcade links. They need to be added to your menu manually.

yoursite.com/index.php?action=arcade [arcade]

If you dont want the helpers to guess everytihng, plase read the posting guide and add the missing info we need to know in order to help you any further.
