barnic, the files were not utf8 but ANSI standard, i will however convert the files to utf8
When you make language strings for utf8 they need to be saved as utf8 and also the files needs to be named as italian-utf8.php or they will not work at all.
I will fix it for you and upload the packages :)

i've just find an error in TPortalAdmin.italian.php
row: 394
replace with:
$txt['tp-printarticles'] = 'Mostra l\'icona di stampa negli articoli?';
I changed the file but i will not upload them until you have checked for more errors first ;)
