Title: Do we have a clean url mod?
Post by: Niagra on April 05, 2008, 10:36:38 PM
Hi family!!  I am hoping that someone can help me  with making the urls  on my site   be  better  recieved for search engine optimization.   Does anyone know if there is a mod  that I can install that will change the  url links to  words instead of   numbers??  ie:  http://frogn.com/index.php?board=40.0  Changed to say  http://frogn.com/index.php?board=Girltalk  The actual forum board title instead of a number.   It  sure  does not  help  our  search engine  rankings  having  a   board number with no  keyword.   I don't  think frogn.com  is going to be drawing the right kind of crowd  if  you see  what  I mean. We  sure as heck are not  frog collectors  ..  by a long stretch.    Is  there  any  clean url  mod   to help   or a file/program  you could  recommend  ??  Thanks!!

There have many discussions about SEO on the SMF boards and you'll likely get better results by searching there.

As ken say, SMF has and holds the support for that question.

Topc marked solved and locked.
