Title: Nothing installed?

I installed TP on a new SMF 1.1.4 forums (uploaded the files and ran tp_install.php), but i can't see any changes to the board. I also fail to understand what "Please restart your forum to see the changes" means.

What am i doing wrong, and where can i find decent installation instructions?

you missed the part where you have to manually add in the TP codestrings to the SMF files.
Read the docsection and the how to ( modinstruction) , it will guide you so you know where to copy and paste the code strings

You may need to do a manual install bn+vs because it sounds like some of the edits were not picked up during the install procedure.
Take a look at our Docs board and follow the instructions there... its easy to do and a good thing to learn.
