Title: Customization: Menu swapping...
Post by: Frost on April 01, 2008, 04:52:40 PM
Ok, its gonna seem strange, but... here goes.

Let's start with the site: http://thirdworldnetwork.org/index.php

It's heavily modded. Like, in the 60+ range... so I know that most of my future modding and upgrading is manually done. Used to it now. ;)

Here's the plan. I want to exchange menus on the site. I want to remove the button strip at the top to a block [probably 2-3 across per row] where the accordian menu is on the left side.

I then want to take that accordian menu block [thanks, Dynamic Drive] and make it into the strip of buttons at the top.

I want to be sure and have all the buttons still act as they should, and display as they should, although I know that I will be changing the coding for the accordian block to act more like the button strip here [at least, on theme BZ15].

How could I go about this safely?

Ok, the reason that I asked here is because I am taking an essential SMF component [the menu strip] and placing it within a TP block... so, I figured that TP would be the best place to ask.
