Is there any way to custom order what board's feeds are retrieved for use on the "News" page of the writer's Corner theme?

Here's what I am wanting to do: I have many categories and what not on my boards, and would like to have a news items fed from specific boards, not necassarily the most recent or most read.

For instance my news page would include a feed of the "Jokes" boards, a feed of the "poetry board. feed of the "community news" etc.

Any help would be appreciated, I am trying to get the site organized to compete in the monthly contest, and show everyone what SMF & TP have allowed & inspired us to do*

The board and the functions with it has support on SMF forums, we have little or non support for chaning how the boards and it's actions are used or changed.

They are talking about the TP news displayed from specific boards G6.

As for the news items from specific boards, TP will only grab the latest item from each board  that you specify. There's no other way to have it display the items without altering the code.

What you could probably do is arrange some blocks (frontpage or center) and choose a recentTopics code snippet to get the recent news from each of those, if that is what you are trying to achieve anyway... :)

Thanks that what I needed to know...and yes Ichbin, that IS what I was wanting to do, recent posts off of targeted/specific boards..
