I just moved my SMF 1.4 to a new server. I migrated the DB and files. It logs in fine. I can post. But the "who's online" seems to be hung. It still shows a group of people who were on when the DB backup was taken.
It just stopped updating.. Is there a way to kick start it? :knuppel2:

Try going in the maintenace section of SMF and go through all options there - apart from the convert to utf8(if you have it). It generally cleans up all tables and fix any errors.
Have you used the repair settings.php file from simplemachines.org ?
Also, download the database install.php only file from our downloadsection and upload it to your forum root folder and execute the file from the browser.
You will however do the same with SMF first.
Download the upgrade package they have ( make sure it's the same package you have installed on your server) take the upgrade.php and the 2 SQL files from it and upload them to your forum root, Run the upgrade.php from your browser.
That will take care of the DB and also give you error if any so you can locate them.
If I were you I would post at SMF for more help.
