Is there a way to make alternate pages that work off the exact same settings as the frontpage and take their source simply from one specific forum post?
Example: I have a post in a hidden board called "About Us" with a description. I'd like to use that post as an about us page, displayed as the front page is.
Attacus, one way you can do what you are asking for is by using a single article on your front page.
An example would be the front page (http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/FamilyForum/index.php) on my site. Is something like that what you want to be able to do?
Not exactly. My current frontpage\homepage grabs posts from my "Announcements" board. I really like how each individual post looks, and was hoping that I could make a hidden forum board with different posts representing various pages of my site, IE About Us, Services, etc. Those pages would only display 1 post. Does this make sense? I got something similar to work using articles, but it isn't displayed quite the same, nor is the text formatting as versatile... unless I'm missing something.
Said differently, is there a way to get articles to be displayed in the same way threads\posts are displayed on the front page? Because that way I could just use index.php?page=articlenumber.
bump?
Please dont bump your posts before 24 hours.. wait for the answer if anyone can give you one.
My mistake.
No current way to make what you want without customizing the whole TP code for frontpage display. Not something that I think anyone has time to do for you sorry.
