i had some changes for v0.7.5, now i'll continue with v0.8.6 :)

I will see into the Dutch languagefiles, it seems like there are some strings missing in it. :)

You'll need to upload them trough FTP to /Themes/default/languages :)

I have been too busy, but hopefully I will finish the finnish translation within couple of days.

The corrected Dutch translations are almost done. I love Beyond Compare! :D

Just one thing I'd like to ad, where did that karma -1 come from? I can't remember any offensive post... :-\

I downloaded the TP_08_Greek.zip but I only see an old translate of .73 by Yngwiedis with the plus lines of .8 added in English.

The old translation, altough enthusiastic, leaves a lot to be desired. I recently gained experience working with SMF's 1.1 RC2 help language files for Greek under the surveillance of spiros (http://www.translatum.gr/), official SMF and professional translator. As the .8 versions were constantly changing I left the translation for this stage. Mandos and Yngwiedis might contribute.

There are also quite a few Greek buttons sets for older themes (Apollo, Juno, Helios, Mercury and TechHead with variations in Greek buttons for SMF and Bloc's themes (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=56921.0) with preview), I will add some missing TP buttons and I will upload them so they will finally find the right place for them. They can still be used for the corresponding TP themes as they are now with the appropriate forum.gif added from the english version.

for those who might be interested, please note that the italian translation is far from being complete.

Most of the strings in it are still in english and it's missing the new strings for 0.8.6.

I started a new translation from scratch using the english template, but that will take some time.

I will very glad if you did, Satelite. Sadly not all translations are complete, so of course anyone completing them will help out their countrymen.

Also, feel free to add any own credit in the files if you wish. I am going to use that on a credits page at this site, so don't be afraid to use it. ;)

Sure Bloc, I will upload an early version as soon as I finish the work, probably later this evening.

Hopefully I'll be testing the new TP version for some time, thus better translations may follow.

All languages now have all the necessary strings needed for TP0.8.6, but only those marked with 100% are fully translated. Anyone wanting to update/translate them, just let me know.

I am getting an error with the * TP_08_german.zip and TinyPortal v0.8.6 ... I am using the new "default smf" theme. Does anyone have the same problems?

Greek translation for TP is over. I upload the file TP_08_greek_prefinal.zip here.

All strings except "on", "off" and "module(s)" are translated, I considered that their translation would affect display too much. I put prefinal as some refinements may be done but will stand well as it is.

I also noticed that not all strings are displayed in greek, although translated, there must be direct strings in TP templates.

I'm ready for solved Vietnamese in SMF 1.1RC2 but with another methol: use NCR decimal code replace for UTF-8, but still not good as UTF-8

Thank you Bloc, Mandos and Yngwiedis (TP .7 Greek translation) . I am glad you liked it. I can't contact spiros, official SMF translator for Greek language and professional translator, for the final touch. He hasn't logged in his site for more than two days now, so he might be travelling.

Greek translation for SMF 1.1 RC2 is available in SMF's downloads http://www.simplemachines.org/download/?languages. I have translated afterwards the Greek help part, it is now in spiros's hands for the final touch. A few small errors were located in the other files too, so probably spiros is working on it as a whole. PM me for a pre-release help file in Greek.

So a complete SMF 1.05, 1.06, 1.1 RC1 or 1.1 RC2 with TP .86 can be made or upgraded in Greek language. Moreover there are quite a few Greek button sets for Bloc's themes available in TP version, so customization can be obtained.

I would suggest another topic for a specific translation.

It is true that in every language some words are difficult to translate in a short word or phrase and also be aesthetically pleasant and there might be more than one acceptable solutions. I was tempted to leave "Shoutbox!" untranslated but I finally decided that it should be. The admin section should be translated for people not knowing English.

The block's title "Shoutbox!" that users will see  can be edited in block manager, so it is to the admininistrator to decide how it will appear in his forum. I will put another word that suits me better but in a translation might be considered extreme. This option is a plus for TP.

I have noticed that admin texts are missing on the french translation.
For instance: Admin>TP>parameters 
Parameters name dont show up and the menu as well.no text at all
But I don't see anything missing from the english 08 files and the french 08 files. meaning everything from the english files have been translated into the french one

I put them in the Sources directory, did a fresh install several times...
text is just missing...

Everything's working now.

Some nice people here ;)

Themes/default/languages/

Put the files in together with the english ones allready there.

TPmodules.german.php
TPortal.german.php
TPortalAdmin.german.php

Then after putting those files there, you create a folder and name it "german" and in there you put the german images (if any)

You have to make that image folder to every theme you use and put the images for the buttons used by the forum and portal.
If you dont have german images you copy over the english images into the german folder. You must have that folder with images in or you will end up getting red x* es everywhere.

I plan to add TP in my site with multilinqual options, so I downloaded some TP translations.

I discovered that the French TP translation zip has inside the file Themes.french.php instead of TPortalAdmin.french.php

I don' t think it will affect anything but it should be good to be completed. It might also be a mistake in file selection for zipping.

Yes ! The solution'llÃ,  go to stop when I try insert two languages (Vietnamese + English) in a content with an article. Though theme be convert but the language in each article do not be convert !!!

I am upgrade russian lang files now it's full tranlation for TP 0.86.

I have good news for all russian members, Russian Support portal comming soon :). We finished translation for smf11rc2 and public in www.simplemachines.org :)

I'm sure complete any string in my language file (index.vietnamese.php) and set my language at server setting is Vietnamese but still not right, it not correct for show on my site   :buck2:

There is an error in the file for the lanque Frenchwoman. She contains Themes.franch.php instead of TPortalAdmin.french.php.

I started using TP 0.86 4 days ago, and i'm making a portuguese website about Hentai. You can check www.hentai-portugal.com (http://www.hentai-portugal.com).
The thing is when i started using TP Portuguese i noticed many errors, and some diferences between the translations from SMF pt to TP pt, so i changed some lines in TP translations so they are equal to SMF translations. And i corrected many errors, like in Downloads Module, showing Dowlnoad... and many others in admin panel too.

Well this is my contribute to this lovelly portal and for portuguese ppl that want a translation without errors and equal words from SMF to TP. (ex: Guest is Visitante and not Convidado like it says in TP)

You have to upload the language pack in the language forum here with the others, Bloc add them in the download section when he have reviewed them :)

If they are missing in the Downloadsection, i guess that Bloc eather forgot to upload them again, or he havent had the time to update that section. (a new release is not far away so i think he will upload the new language files there instead)

We dont have a staff of translators, we have to depend on our members to help us with translating the tp files into as many languages as possible.
If you cant find your language, perhaps you are willing to do the translation for us and share it with us on tinyportal ?
