ok i reinstalled smf . i encountered another error. it says You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!i have chmodded my ftp packages directory. i installed through fantastico. its very slow replying here can add me on msn ? admin@overcoders.info

There is this part "SEARCH" and several more. Selfhelp is one to.
That have the answers, and also, the package manager, and how it works are SMF support, not ours, but through a search or several, you have the answers on what you need to do.

canot find any.. pls help .. i am close on giving up .

The package manager and how it works are supported from www.simplemachines.org.

Before you start install mods, you should learn how to handle your SMF first

From looking at your site, I can see the panels, blocks, articles fine.
What is the problem?

Error messages in the error log?
Post them.

Looking again at your site.. You have the wrong language selected for the character set of the site.

Well, then I can offer no other advice.. I can assure you, it's wrong.

Change it to either, English, or English UTF-8.. whichever works.

If your forum is UTF-8 and you don't have the UTF-8 language installed, download the TP UTF-8 from here, and the SMF UTF-8 from SMF.

I would check your error log though.. as another package seems to be causing a few:
8: Undefined index: smftags_admin

It was not doing that just now.. What have you done since I deleted my account?

i merely just change the skin to default skin as i have installed some mods. after changing skin,there goes the error.

Theme 2 works.. You really should be making changes, installing packages, themes while using the default core theme, which is how I set it when I was looking at the languages and error log.
