My hosting company server crashed and I lost my site last thursday...

On monday they create a new account for me.

I uploaded smf and it works fine. I just uploaded tinyportal via ftp and nothing happen.

I uploaded it via ftp because it wouldn't work through the smf package

Any suggestions...

I did the following.

1. Put the following in my address bar

http://grassrootsconservativemajority.com/php/manual_tp_install.php

•   Upshrink table created
•   Settings table created
•   Settings table updated
o   Added 98 new setting(s)
•   Blocks table created.
o   some sample values were added to the blocks table
•   Variables table created.
o   some sample values were added to the variables table
•   Articles table created.
o   some sample values were added to the articles table
•   DL manager table created
•   Shoutbox table created
•   Shouts copied over
o   Added subtype,value7 and value8 in variables table
TinyPortal´s table structure is now installed/updated.

2. Then put the following in my address bar...
http://grassrootsconservativemajority.com/index.php/manual_tp_install.php

Nothing happened.

3. Then put the same info as in # 1 above http://grassrootsconservativemajority.com/php/manual_tp_install.php

Got: The requested URL /php/manual_tp_install.php was not found on this server.

Any suggestions

In the Docs board is instructions on what you need to do. Please follow them and you'll have a working manual install of TP.

I read the doc and followed the directions to the best of my knowledge. Do you have any other advice or suggestions?

Well being that I can't read your mind I have no suggestions to give you because I don't know what problems your having...

Quotemake sure it's the same folder you have the SMF files in

But from what you said you uploaded to a different directory called "php"

I think that's where it's gone wrong  :-\

You did make the manuall copy and paste of the tp code into the SMF files according to the modinstructions to ?

Hairy- The TP files are in the same folder as the smf files

G6- Yes, I change the coding...

Thanks for your help... I will be traveling all day and want be able to do anything to tomorrow. Please reply with how/what I need to do to fix this. I have been down now for 8 days.

i had the same problem, using wsftp i chmodded the whole dit to 777 and then used the packages system again. Then it installed just fine.

I only have another problem, it doesn't show the tp admin block and the forum tab  :(
