tp-images folder needs to be writable chmod777  including subfolders flash, icons, image
fckeditor folder needs chmod755
you can also re-upload fckeditor folder in case something went wrong when it was unpacked/installed

Quoteinternal server error ( 500 )

Yjay error indicate your server has configuration issues, you have to contact your host ablout the issue and ask them to change the settings on the server.
Add as much info you can so they know what to check.

Sometimes you will also get this error when your folders should be set at 755 and you have them set at 777.   Some servers do not allow you to set the folder at 777 thus giving off the 500 internal error.

Had this same problem myself after moving servers.  Re-uploaded the FCKeditor folder from my old backup, as mentioned above, and all is fine now.  Thanks lebisol. ;)

Nice, glad to hear lurkalot.
From what I read TP1 should offer some other type of editor integration. :)

As a side note, I was using filezilla 2.0.x win (at the time) which for some reason had issues setting rights on subfolders so I would suggest newest verion if anyone is using it.
Bottom line it comes down to re-setting folder rights individually or being aware of them.

Perhaps you should try to get some support from the FCKeditors site.

Well considering that everyone elses editor doesn't have this problem, what do you expect? Oh, and you're welcome! I'm glad we could provide some free software, and then you can come here and bitch and moan about the free help you get as well. The nerve of some people...

Make sure your tp-images folder is chmod to 777.   This should fix this issue.

Edit.  Did not read the post to well.  I see you said you already tried that :P

thank you tick,  i just checked my tp images and it was still 755,  i took you're advise and changed it
to 777 and everything is back to normal,  again,  thank you for you're help tick,   the site was restored last week and it must have messed about with the permissions.

thank you for showing respect,  patience,  and kindness.

Edit. i never changed the tp image folder to 777 :P
