The theme is just that, a theme. TinyPortal has the options of how to display a front page.
As long as the theme is a TP compatible theme.

If you dont have TP installed you cannot test TP eather in any theme.
You need to install tinyportal to your SMF forum.

You use the package manager as with any other mod in SMF :)

Just upload the TP zip file with the help of the package manager and click on the install button,

mm ok thanks after havign some problems with joomla i have decided to give it a go ! So i have done exactly as you say and this is what i get with the installation from my admin panel in SMF

Quote!!Error in Package Installation

At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

The question is could it be because i still have joomla installed on my main domain ? Or

QuoteExecute Modification .      /Themes/babylon/index.template.php       File not found
or is it because i dont have this theme installed ???

Also question if i want to use my main domain for TP Home link , will it me ask or let choose the name of url i want it , if i want to install i want to keep it on my main url, then of course i will delete joomla and forums keep where they are, how does it work out ?

Any help highly appreciated!

ty'

And this is what i am trying to do :    Install:TinyPortal0.9.8 for SMF1.1RC3-SMF1.1.4

If you don't have that theme installed, don't worry about it. If its the only error you're getting you can continue. As for the URL you can manually change it to what ever you would like to in each theme you use.

So you reckon i shouldnt uninstall joomla before from my main domain link?  And just for a instance will it support on TP front page my language characters which SMF supports, i had to install LV package for joomla, and i know there isnt LV package for SMF so most likely for you guys as well, so i was just wondering will my language characters will appear same as in SMF forums without bugs ?

thanks in advance!

I cant give support on Joomla as i dont know how it behaves.
For the language in TP you will need to make sure we HAVE your language for TP, if we do have your language package you should be fine with it.
