The section is visible by all normal members, visitors, admins and global moderators but only a group can not see it. If I supply them the link they can access/upload/download (they have been given right in Permissions section).
What can be the cause ?
Search search and again search ;)
Membergroups permission, every block you add must have the membergroup permissions set in the block manager (edit the block in question)
That is the first thing I have looked for but that section is not in Blocks. It is in Modules and the only thing I can do about it is activate/deactivate..
Membergroups permission
Admin/Members/Permissions/
Open the membergroup created and edit the permissions

The only permission in group permissions is to Upload file and is already given..Besides, every block created has the permission for the group but still
they can not see Downloads link on left bar..
have you checked the download categories permissions to ?
Yep.. All given too. They can not see the link on left bar but if I give them the url, they can go downloads section, upload or download..I just need to make TP display them the link..
Well, Im out of ideas, everything should be set ok.
Thanks anyway :) ..
If you wish to do so you can PM me with a temp admin account login and I'll take a look.
Include info on exactly what member or group can not see the link.
Sent the information.. Thanks :)
My efforts did not produce a resolution for this issue, so I've posted to the TP Team boards for further help.
Thanks for your time and help Ken. It is all appreciated.. :)
Can you check something please? Click on one of the users who is having this problem and go to their profile. Click on show permissions. Copy/paste the permissions you see for tp to here please.
There is a big list but I think only this is TP related .

If you complain about the response time, I had nothing to do about it cause I was away and now it is the first time I could give the response..
LoL, no, not complaining about any response time, we do this when we have the time for it.
I was refering to what IchBin asked you to post for us :)

Really confused. I have done what he asked for . What is the problem ?
I refer to this line IchBin wrote.
QuoteClick on show permissions. Copy/paste the permissions you see for tp to here please.
And that is what I have done.. There was only one tp related permission and I pasted it..
Finally found out the reason. The link is not visible to that group cause it did not have permissions to view the sitemap.
Anyway thanks for your time and support (especially Ken.)
Glad you got it sorted. :)
Yes, this is somewhat of a limitation, that permission-based links are located in the separate blocktype instead of the userblock. If you leave out some groups for that block, they will not see the link - even though they have the right permissions for the link themselves.
This will most likely change in future TP versions.
