Okay. I am new to this, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing.
1. I got the download and directly saved the .zip to my Desktop.
2. Uploaded it as a package, successfully downloaded.
3. Apply mod, get error: (number 8 ) - showed rest to see if it helps.

1. Extract Tree ./Themes
2. Extract Tree ./Sources
3. Extract Tree ./tp-downloads
4. Extract Tree ./tp-images
5. Extract Tree ./FCKeditor
6. Extract Tree ./wysiwyg
7. Execute Code tp_install.php
8. Execute Modification tinyportal09x-11x.mod Modification parse error
4. Read the sticky above, it is already set to English language.
5. Tried a bug report, says I installed it wrong and that it needs to be uploaded by .zip (I did that.)
So, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any help and a wonderful program I can't wait to use.
Did you tried searching?
Let me do some troubleshooting for you.
- Is the /Packages folder chmodded to 777? If no chmod it to 777
- Is there a temp folder in Packages directory? If no, create one and make sure it is chmodded to 777
From the topics I've read, and as suggested by Dragooon. CHMOD can cause this error as can the server running in Safe Mode.

Gah! That's it. My server is in Safe Mode. I need to get it out.

If you are not able to easily get your server/host to change the Safe Mode setting you might wish to consider a manual install. It's easy to do and dosen't take very long.
Check in the Docs section for instructions on how to do it.
