I have been having a problem for sometime and would finally like to track it down. When I enable my shoutbox block it seems to be getting shouts from an old set of tabels. I reset all shouts but the old shouts still show in the block. If I type into the shoutbox block the new shout is shown in the shoutbox admin section but does not register in the shoutbox block. any ideas?

Do you have the shoutbox mod installed?

I have not installed any shoutbox mods I thought they came with tp?

Seems maybe you got a a mix of TP files. Be sure you got latest TP 0.9.8 files, as the location of shouts changed between 0.9.8.1 and 0.9.8.3.

yes that sounds about right since this is the only problem I have noticed could you please tell me what files might be suspect??

If you have any reason at all, (such as you do now with your shotbox problem) just replace all the TP files with the manual install package to update your files.

I uploaded the manual install files twice to make sure and I still have the same problem  :'(

Run the manual_tp_install.php file as well?

Well I don't have time to look at it. As I'm packing for a trip tomorrow. If someone doesn't get you all fixed up, I'll try to check on you in a day or two. Not sure how much time I'll have on the net while I'm out of town though.

samson, I enabled your shoutbox for admins only. I posted a shout, and the shout shows just fine. Am I missing something?

Ill look now thanks I dont know it has not worked for me maybe when i did the update it did fix it

Thanks allot sorry to waste your valuable time.  I did mess with some files trying to install a mod maybe that was it but thanks again

out of all communities I belong to tp by far is the nicest and most helpful
