Can some one please take a look at this and tell me why TP is blank in the permission block at left. I re-installed the forum due to 404 errors I kept having.Tick got it fixed the last time but it did it agian shortly afterward. I got no idea what I am doing wrong to keep having all these problems with this, anyway the board is here.

it is blank for guest...only those memeber/membergroups that have permission to submit -articles-dowloads so check the settings.

Thats what it says up there. Seems as though every time I install a mod I have a fatal error or 404 error. Every mod I have tried to install as been compatible with 1.1.4 I do not see the reason behind all this headache really. Considered designing my own theme and learning how to make themes but this is ..................... :tickedoff:
are you making edits to mods when you install them MetalSlam?? might want to check any mods that you have and make sure you did them right.. ;)
do you have it set up that the front page takes you straight to the forum?? i see no front page..
also, make sure you have the "tp" version of that them.. i see no boxes... :D
Got no idea. I have given up. Every one one have a Merry Christmas. I will just delete the forum, agian..............won't put it back either... for the record I do not modify mods, hell I do not know what I am doing now, no reason to screw things up worse.
I dont know what we need to do to get our members to use the search function we have.

How about I just not use TP on the forum that way I do not have to come back here and ask questions. No one is giving up. I have used the search feature on numerous things and got no answer to my question. Assuming that everyone knows this stuff and everyone don't know it or I would not be coming here asking these stupid questions.
I too started Like you MetalSlam,:( about two years ago, but I never gave up, I am still not brilliant with code and stuff, and I must have deleted my forum a million times before I got it right, yes to start it can be daunting and even scary at times, it was for me if I am honest, all I can say is take a step back just for a while. then go back read up what you can, about Tinyportal and smf, you will amazed at what you can find out, thats what I did, I cant tell you how many times my pc nearly went out the window :) just take one step at a time dont try to do too much all at ones.

Do you or did you have a TP theme installed without TP being installed?
im not too sure what he had, nokonium.. i tried to help too.. i think it was smf/tp, but the theme was not a tp theme. am i right?? :-\
One of the causes of that error is using a TP theme when TP hasn't been installed or has been uninstalled. The code added to the theme to make it compatible with TP is calling a TinyPortal function that it cannot be find.
ok i thought it was one or the other nokonium, for him to be getting the tp error, and then the theme not to have had any left or right in the forum area and then he had a home area with no boxes either.. maybe i had it turned around in my head, but yep your right, sounds like no tp or tp was removed then the theme applied..
well, MetalSlam, nokonium is doing a good job of finding what is the cause of that error, just keep posting and you will get it going.. i have faith in ya ;)

If TP is installed when that error is encountered it can also mean that some files are missing or parts of them are missing.
Not to worry. Whole things missing now I deleted it..............
Well, I'm sorry you got so flustered here Metal. Good luck with all that you do. I hope you're able to give it a try in the future and give it a kick in the can when you do.
Someone needs to start a forum for newbies in this stuff........
I think if you search around you'll find that 95% of the posts here are from people that are new to this stuff.
