hi, i installed smf 1.1.4 today with no problems, i then preceded to install tiny portal v0.9.8 and for some reason under the portal option in my admin cp there are no options :o i cannot access block manager for example as there is no option to? :( does anybody know what has caused this?

Try using the search function to see if the question has been asked before or maybe just take a look at the sticky posts at the top of the board.

It is a very common question which is why we have already answered it with a sticky post to help peeps who also have the problem.
i have read the sticky and it says to change the language from english-utf8 to english, but i cant do that as it says on my forum " These settings cannot be changed because Settings.php is read only."
any ideas? ;D
You need to change the permissions for that file so that it is either 755 or 777. YOu can do this with a ftp client or by going to your admin panel and going to packages>optoins> make all files writable>enter your ftp info>
