Hi,
Is it possible to have the 10 recents forum post in an article?
Yep.. if you look in the Block Code Snippets, you should find what you need.
Or simply:
http://yoursite.com/ssi_examples.php
and
http://yoursite.com/ssi_examples.shtml
The snippets will already have arrays which control how the SSI function outputs it's results.
if I put that in an article, then I get nothing :(
What did you put in an article?
Try this:
PHP Block/Article
ssi_boardNews($board = 40.0, $limit = 5, $start = null, $length = 610, $output_method = 'echo');
$board = board id number
$limit = Number of Topics to display
$length = Character count
You must remove the php start and end tags when using php in TP.
If you look in the snippets, you'll find scripts written that already does this, and some are far better than just using my simple code, which works exactly how I need it to. But I have another which I wrote for my site which posts only the topic title, author, date and time :)
