I am having a little problem with the layout...
I want ALL my articles to be on the front page, but after about 4-5 articles it rolls over onto a "page 2" front page. Is there anyway to force all articles (not forum posts) on the front page? Am I missing something...I looked in settings and didn't see anything that would pertain to HOW MANY articles can be on a front page.
Thanks,
Wally
Try using different Front Page options.
Admin > TP/Settings > Front Page > Featured article and front page blocks
That will not display any page numbers, you'll need to set each Articles options to 'Featured Article' to display on the Home Page.. and you'll also have the option of Front Page Blocks.
I can only set ONE article as a featured article. So that does not work.
Thanks though.
Wally
Funny, works on my home page. You need to set each article as featured.
In TP 0.9.8 you can only have 1 featured article I think. Change the amount of news to be shown on the front page in your settings.
I have 2 side by side at the bottom of my Home Page... I'm pretty sure I've had more.
Article is set as:
Show on front page: Yes
Category: Featured Articles (Not sure if I created this category.. I forget).

Hmmm...OK, I can't find that setting. I looked on the settings for TP and also the settings for SMF...including the News Settings...don't see an option for how many News items to have.
Wally
If you edit your content of the article, just scroll down and you'll see "featured"?
ok...I know I am not blind...please take a screen capture and post...I am not seeing that option...and IchiBin didn't mention it either...
Thanks,
Wally
You can also go to your 'Manage Articles' screen and look to the right side of your articles list and you'll see a control for setting an article to featured.
This really isn't difficult

You need to set
every Article to:
Show on front page: YesIgnore the featured articles part for now, I think I may have mislead you by assuming all mine are Featured, when in fact, they are in an Article Category I created, called 'Featured Articles'.
I should have called the category, "Front Page Articles".
That may be where you are getting confused, so apologies for that.
Regardless of Category name, Setting: Show on front page.. will show on front page with the TP Front Page setting.. "What to show: Featured article and front page blocks", without Page Numbers.
In the tp settings for the frontpage this setting limits the amount of articles or forum posts on the frontpage.
Number of forum-posts to show on front page

Bingo...what threw me was that it said FORUM POSTS and did not include ARTICLES...which it actually does. Thank you...works now.
Wally
Yes, I've suggested we change that so its more clear in the next release.
Thank you again...didn't mean to be an idiot...but it sure had me going. Thanks...makes perfect sense now. Wally
