Title:  I see this row at first line of my tiny portal/smf

i guys!
I've got a problem,
with internet explorer all is ok, but with firefox I see      , this strange characters, at the first line of my site?and every page I click in my portal, and one more "?" sums to the others...
How can I remove it?
it happens since I installed tiny portal 0.9.8 on my smf 1.1.4

infact the problem is that to see tp in italian without utf, I simply changed the name of the file, instead  should have reopen with text editor and resave with it,right?

in the other post the solution is not so clear...

Yes, I would try to resave the files. I think saving for UTF8 and non-UTF8 requires a different encoding option when saving.
