Just curious - I recently installed some new templates for my SMF 1.1.4 forum. Now, when I select one of those new themes (found through this site), the TP blocs do not show up.
In the default theme, everything is normal and TP shows fine.
In Oxygen, Nucleus and Apollo (themes), for example, the forum shows as normal, but TP is on the missing list.
Do I need to "re enable" it after selecting a new theme? Or does this sound like a glitch?
It sounds like you may have the wrong themes installed... with TP installed you must use themes written for SMF/TP.

Suggested these templates:

...and so that's where I took them from...
...and I took Scribbles2 and it seems to be a dud - doesn't even show the forum properly. The template is there, but the content and layout is messed up - no biggie for me, though as I don't think it's the right theme for my place - www.hfx4sale.com
"Scribbles2 and it seems to be a dud"
Actually it's not.
Do this and you'll get the desired result:
QuoteTo install a custom theme:
Set your forum the the SMF Core Default theme, and uninstall the SMF version of the custom theme.
Then go to the download page for the theme that you want.
Make sure to get the correct theme by looking for TP at the end of the theme name on the download page, most download pages will have two links with the 'Download' button being the SMF version and down below that the TP version.
>>>Exception; some custom themes will work with both SMF & SMF/TP, for those you need to turn on TinyPortal support in your admin panel for that theme. (Admin>Current Theme>Support for TinyPortal 0.9.8 mod?)
Scribbles2 fits into the Exceptions category.
Did you activate TP in the themes settings ?
Ken - that makes sense - everything seems to be there with Scribbles, just a smidge off - I'll try what you've suggested and see how it works out for me.
G6 - not 100% sure what you mean...
TP is on/enabled/showing when using the default theme - otherwise, I never went looking (yet) to specifically "turn on" TP with any of the new-to-me templates. Perhaps some more poking around on my end is in order. :)
As always, thanks guys for your help and insights. :)

Scribbles2 happens to be one of my personal fav themes so I've played with it a bit and IMHO it works & looks best with only left side blocks enabled... you might try that to see if you like the result.
G6 may have been making the point about the need to turn on TP support in the current theme settings for Scribbles2 but in any case 'poking around' is a very good thing to be doing because not only do you learn to do stuff on your own you will also find it easier to get and understand answers to the questions that you do need to ask.
OK, so I swapped themes and checked the TP settings in each case.
TP is not showing any assigned panels in either of the two themes I was hoping to use:
Oxygen and Nucleus
TP shows as normal in the default theme.
Ideas on how to solve this very much appreciated. :)

If its not showing in your other themes, and it shows in the default theme you have downloaded the wrong version of those themes.
Sadly I shall go back and try again then. :( I followed the links here, but obviously must have snagged the wrong versions.
Thanks IchBinâ,,¢
Much appreciated.

Just make sue you have TP in the file name for the themes you install.
If it have IE. Helios_TP_multi.zip you see where the TP marks the theme as TP compatible.
If the file were called Helios_multi.zip it shows that it's for SMF only.
