Title: Coding Advice
Post by: ZI0N on August 09, 2007, 07:16:11 PM
I just did a search and the admin said that it isnt possible to have subdomain newspages without installing multiple versions of smf.

Example - codenews.tinyportal.co.uk, just to show news from the codenews forum (hypothetical example)

I cant see why it isnt possible.

Couldn't you take the code that grabs the news from a selected forum and just make a custom index.php for the subdomain?

I am currently looking to set up a system like the one i mentioned above you see, and just can't see why it isnt possible

Update : Ive already got tiny portal working on my subdomain without installing a seperate forum on the subdomain. (by modifying code)

Now just modifying it to grab the news from a specific forum.

And you said it was impossible? LOL
