TinyPortal

I installed tiny portal and it tells me that I have a choice of Wizzywig editor and FCK editor.  However, when I use the drop down and go back to the text box I can see no difference.  Is there something I am doing wrong?  Is there something I should know about how to activate the editors.  Please help.

I think tiny portal is the best.

P.S.  I intergrated hot editor a while back but it doesn't do a very good job.
I am looking for something that won't distort the text
similar to that of webwizforums wysiwyg.  Have any ideas?

Do you have the editor you want to use selected in the TP settings.  Once you select it you have to press save at the bottom.

I of course understand that but I do not seem to be able to tell a difference in the editors and they react identical to text and pictures.
do you have to have the different text editors installed in order for them to work?  When I used hot editor I could tell a difference right away.

To answer your inquiry: I always press save when there is a button that tell me to do that.

Sure thing.  I just cover all the bases.  Sometimes it is the simple things that get overlooked.   You should be able to tell a difference in the layout of the two editors.   Can you select one editor and then go to and article and edit it and take a screenshot of the editor and then do the same with the other so I can see exactly what you are talking about.  Tick.

Sorry for such a late reply but I am just now getting around to getting back here.  Today I noticed that TP says the WYSIWYG is for articles. Since I had never written an article I did not know that it was available there.  The WYSIWYG and the FCK editor are both there.  My problem continues to be the forum itself.  I realize now that the two are probably not related otherwise you would think that you could toggle on and off the standard text box that SMF provide.  If there is something I am missing there I would like some advice.  The hot editor is riddled with problems and it seems to be the only one that has an install package.  Anyway sorry to bother you with a problem that isn't even related to the tiny portal.  Thanks for all your help tick.
