I know it is not the latest version[that is why it is free], but it is probably better than what you have. The top post here explains it all. ;)

I use a program called WinSnap 2.0

Dont remember if it was free or not  :P

 looks good but winsnap looks like it is $20.That's not good :'( I got about 5 screen captures, but snagit is the best I can afford :-\ snagit comes with a lot of other stuff besides just the screen capture.I almost bought it at one time :o---It must be good ;D
