Just turned on the shoutbox. When I go to make a post in it, I get "Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again." I tried making a post to it with my admin account and my "test" account, both to no avail. Anyone seen this before? What am I missing?

can you give us a test account to test this on ?
I'll PM you the login.
As it seems you dont have TP installed properly
The forum and frontpage are the same page, and the profile doesent show any thing from the TP
Did you install everything to the Default SMF core theme, or the theme you have installed-
The TP copywrite is also missing there
I haven't changed a thing. In fact, haven't deleted anything. All the original themes (default, yabb, and babelon) are still there as well. I installed that theme and multicolored stars. The front page is missing on purpose, there's a setting in the admin panel to make it direct to the forum instead of the front page.
Bump, anyone?
Im sorry i havent had the time to look to this, vacation and all the children home at the same time takes most of the time i have.
What you can try now when you have set the forum back to defaults is to download the repair_settings.php from simplemachines.org and upload it to your forum root and run it from the browser.
Make sure all the paths and url's are as they should.
If that doesent work, the only thing i can suggest is for you to reupload all the files so you get fresh files from both SMF and TP and update the DB to the newest and see if you get things to work.
Offcourse all of this with the forum set to all defaults (Default Core theme and English language)
When I change the theme back to default, the shoutbox works. Appears to be a problem with the Red Darkness theme.
yeah; that happens to me w/ the Nostalgia theme. can anyone help me with this? please? my mebers use the shoutbox a lot lot lot..
We cant help you with that, you need to contact the theme maker and ask them to update the theme you use
yeah unfortunately they don't reply... isn't there a way to get the shoutbox working if i edit it myself? (i don't know what code to put, but could someone help me out w/ that?)
