hi i like this idea of having a front page but being a driver and not a pc programer its get baffling
so i have a couple of questions please

1 will this work with my forum www.marine-keepers.com/forum/
  (please take a look) as its four months old and getting 30.000 hits a week now so really dont wont to loose all the hard work

2 how do i instal it to work with it

3 are all the pages dummy proof ie can i put forinstance on the home page simple image to entice new members .then say docs on this one put my banner adds

4 most impportent i think i had to revert back to default forum as dibler couldnt do the addsmod  would this still work with mods

sorry for the questions but i dont want to reclessly destroy three months work

almost lost it all when i swapped to a vps last month

Well to answer a few of your questions yes it will work with your forum.   I would not say it is completly dummy proof but I find it very easy to use.   Most everything you will do with it can be done through the admin panel.  I would suggest taking a read through the installation topics and the docs section to read up before doing a install.  I see you are using the default theme which is the theme you need to use when installing this mod as with all mods.  Most cases installing is just a matter of uploading and pressing apply.  But if for some reason you run into trouble you will find there are lots of people that will help around here.   Hope this helps.

Did you uninsall all of your mods like Ichbin suggested?   I see from the list some are still installed.

still copy and paisting and writting the setting down for the addmod
as i have 4 adds and adsence + adsearch in there

and i dont want to have to sit here for hours re writting the banner links etc again

so its a deff i need to remove them all ?

ok its half 1 in the morning will come back to this with fresh eyes and continue tomorrow dont want to c=== up at this stage of the game

All of your info should stay intact when you reinstall the mods.  The info is stored in the database and should be safe.

oh so i dont need to re do them once i reinstall it should see them and reinstigate them ?

On most mods it does this.  To be sure I would copy the code down.  After thinking more thats what I would do.  I have not used the ad mod so I am not sure.  Hate for you to lose your info.

and i cant get the front page to display a welcome text ?
had a quick look at user guid but nothing jumps out at me on how to

any pointers would be gratley thanked

These aren't installation issues. First, use the search to find what you need. These things I'm sure have already been done. Use a block code snippet to put links in a block where ever you want. Welcome text as well, can be added to a block  or an article and displayed as you wish.

all running now exept i havnt done the links bit yet been too bust trying to do the front page issue
