i want to install a portal on my site. I have the core theme, so i am not sure which one i download? I was wondering if some can be so kind to help me? I am a girl, and i ruin my site everytime i do mods myself! Please help!
You can download TinyPortal (a mod for SMF) in the download section here. I would suggest you take a read in the docs section to catch up on the tutorials and docs so you know what you're getting into.
You should also read the docs at SMF so you can learn how to use the package manager. Installing TP should be as simple as uploading it in the package manager and clicking the install button. :) If you get stuck on something or can't find some info, post back and we can help. You will install TinyPortal 0.9.8 from the downloads section. I do however suggest reading some of the sticky topics from the installation boards . If you have any questions with the install you will find that most questions have been answered before and a simple search will provide the answers . ok thanks, i will try it tomorrow. If i mess something up will someone help me fix it? Just want to know ahead of time incase i make a mistake :)
If you get stuck there are many here that will help you. Just drop a line and give as much info about what you did and any errors that you may have gotten on the install and we can go from there. :)
I just installed it but it says there's an error in the package! Can you please go into my board and fix the error? I didn't apply the mod though, cuz it said error when I tried!
ok Post the error that you received. Also are you in the core default theme when you tried to install?

Yes i Have the core theme on, I have to use that theme because I have a shop and arcade!
