Title: Fatal error when adding/editing block?
Post by: Teun on May 30, 2007, 06:10:55 PM
Hi,

Whenever I try to add or edit a block, I got this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /home/sporenet/domains/spore-net.com/public_html/Sources/TPortalAdmin.php on line 1870

I am using 0.9.7 with SMF 1.1.2. I could use the option before, but I can't do it anymore for a few days. I already tried the new TPortalAdmin.php and the Tportal.php from the download topic, but it doesn't seem to help.

Anybody know what to do?  :o

All that I can suggest is update your TP to 0.983 and see if the problem still exists. There has been a lot of bug fixes along the way.

Will my theme still work? I'm using PDX-DK.

I think that theme is updated to so the answer would be yes

I'll try that, but when I want to upload the new package, it says the file is incorrupt. Should I uninstall the older version first?

TP or the theme ?

The theme will not work in the package manager, you have to use the THEME manager in themes and layout settings. And yes, you need to uninstall and remove the older version of the themes before you install the new version

And if it is the TP, what package are you trying to install ?

I mean the TP sorry. The page I'm trying to install was TP_0983.zip.

Should not be a problem with that package

Just to be sure, try this package

It still gives me the error that the file is corrupt.

Perhaps you should go the manual route then.

Ugh, never mind. I forgot to CHMOD the package directory to 777. I can update my TP now! ;)
