Hello gents,
I have written a script that automatizes the steps on this page -> http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=14195 (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=14195) . I did this to ease the installation of TinyPortal on servers with safe mode on. My script uses a xml file basically containing the data on that page, although slightly different format obviously. I am wondering if i'd be allowed to distribute that xml file containing data owned by you. I have also asked in the SMF forum, without permission from both of you i obviously cannot release my script.
I cant say for sure that Bloc will allow this, but i will post a link to this question and ask him to reply here.
Im almost 100% sure that SMF wont give the permissions for their code to be used outside their own packages :-\
But we have to wait and see what Bloc say :)
This script..how can it acccess the SMF files when safe mode is on - preventing normal use of package manager to do the same thing?
