I have the recent posts enabled on the front page right menu:

http://pentaxworld.com/forum/index.php

Is it possible to create a separate page so that when visitors click on it, it shows up all the recent posts (say 50)? I am thinking of something similar to vB's "Today's post" function, so that visitors can still view list of latest posts in a page.

Have you tried the Recent Topics/Posts Block in the Block Code snippets section? This works real well and shows more info.
