I want my guests to post without a need for a name or email address.

The mod that's available doesn't work on my Dilber theme.

Can someone help?

You have to make edits to the theme to make a mod work with a custom theme. How to do that is best asked at smf by the mod author.

Ok, but I actually don't want to use the MOD, I want to change the code manually, what would I do?

The link provided will show you the exact steps you need to take to manually edit code in to other themes with help of the mods XML file.
