Title: Mesh
Post by: armorbeast on May 12, 2007, 01:06:27 AM
We may be missing something but the Tiny Portal version of Mesh seems to be missing a portal button after login on the site navigation bar. This is the version supposedly for Tiny Portal and need to know if maybe there's a setting we need to check because we are not finding it.

Thanks in advance.

Can you provide a link to the site you are referencing to ?  Also what version of smf and tp are you using?

We use smf 1.1.2 but we use it with Tiny Portal and downloaded it from the Tiny Portal downloads.

We don't use it as our default template though because of this issue so you'd have to join to change it I believe. If you like, I can provide a link and change the default briefly if you think that would help.

We did think we got the smf version so we downloaded it again and same thing happened.

Lol, I just don't want to make you join to help us because most people don't like doing that.

What happened to the theme before.  If it was deleted make sure and go in via ftp and delete the folder also.  Then do a fresh clean install of the theme.

@Tick:

I got it showing again so use the link he sent you....I am wondering about the "home" page casue none of the front page blocks are showing when they are selected to show in the settings...and they showed in the other theme.

originally the theme was installed via the zip thru pkgs and then he got ini there and it left the list but was still in the server so I installed via the path to it to get it to show in the list once more and it works now...except for the above part and what he is looking for.

You have the smf version of this theme installed.  First you need to delete this theme via your admin panel.  Then go in to you ftp and delete the mesh theme folder.  After you do this go here http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item650 and you will see mesh .  Look down just a  little bit and you will see one that says mesh tp.  Thats the one you  want.  Install this one via the theme manager in your admin panel.

This would require adding some code to the templates.  Something that might work for you is this.  http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=12385.0  and it would be a much easier fix.  This would go in a center block and it looks like a menu add on.

Again I am impressed with the way and how quickly your answers are. Most impressive when some sites take a month then they ask you if you got it solved....lol

Yup I get it solved I just either hit n miss or do the better thing and drop their software and get another...lol

we made a great choice this time.

I did that center block thing and since most of the members don't go to the front page too often I set it to show in the forums. It may not be centered but tis there with room for more links when I need them.

Yay...I did not need to enter code but was ready if needd to do so like I have with php in the past.

Thanks
