Title: WoW-DK (d) update and Tinyportal problems since
Post by: soothy on May 02, 2007, 11:19:22 PM
Hello!

I updated my TP/SMF (WoW-DK (d)) theme earlier this week to the latest version to handle SMF 1.1.2 compatibility issues that can arise.

Unfortunately, it seems to have also made my TP stop functioning. Whilst I only had a left bar of blocks (user stats, shoutbox and online stats/whois), now I just have a forum.

Here's some information to help you all out:

I am running SMF 1.1.2
I am running the TP 0.9.8.3

A URL to the site in question is at: http://zspecial.org.au
You are able to register without activation, so feel free to make a test account.

I have tried uninstalling TP to start from scract again, however I receive the following two errors:

Execute Modification     ./index.php     Test failed
Execute Modification     ./SSI.php     Test failed

Therefore, I do not go any further with the uninstallation process.

Finally, I have the following mods running on our Forum:

Page Number    1.0
SMF Staff Page    1.5.1
TinyPortal    0.983
Add PM Info To header (v1.0)
Mod List Color Alternate 1.0
SMF 1.1.2 Update Package 1.1.2
SMF 1.1.1 Update Package 1.1.1
Fix Emoticon's Positions 1.0
SmileyLimit 1.0
MSN Status 1.0

If you require any more information, just ask :)

In fact, I have just trimmed the Mods down to the following:

Page Number    1.0
TinyPortal    0.983
Mod List Color Alternate 1.0
SMF 1.1.2 Update Package 1.1.2
SMF 1.1.1 Update Package 1.1.1
Fix Emoticon's Positions 1.0

and added

WoW-Itemstats 1.25.6

All of these mods have the denoted green icon to say they are running and working fine.

Look through all code and make sure you have every thing where it should be.

And for referens, you should have installed TP to the Default Core theme set as your forum default and not your WOW DK as the Default have all the files and folders the package manager is looking for to change..

It was originally installed to the default theme. I installed it about 4 months ago (and then periodically updated it).

I changed the theme after TP was working as it should way back then.

You need to un-install the theme and re-insall it 'after you clear all your cookies | cache''' -- it's like a clean Fresh install..should install correctly ?

If you only have a forum, did you install the wrong version of the theme? TP version vs. SMF version?

Well I wonder where your mind is at then. ;) I think it is on the important things, like Dennis! :D I can't wait to hear that he is back to normal.

Okay, thanks for all the replies folks.

I have gotten about three quarters the way through the link you posted, everything has been exactly as it should be thus far.

Tried this, but got no positive results. The same problem occurs.

As per my first line in my first post:

"I updated my TP/SMF (WoW-DK (d)) theme earlier this week to the latest version to handle SMF 1.1.2 compatibility issues that can arise."

I am already running the appropriate theme.

TIA

Nevermind. I backed up the forum and re-installed SMF and TP from scratch. All works now.

Thanks for all the input :)
