My site is functional, but the tp system dosen't work. When I click on any of the settings, it just goes to my forum. What can cause this. My site is http://www.awsomeforum.com
IT could be any number of things. Based on the lack of information that you've given us I would probably blame it on either adds or a custom block. Please follow the posting guidelines so we can help you. Disable all your ads and/or custom blocks and see if that helps.
BTW, please do not post links or support in the shoutbox.
ads, as in google ads and such? Blocks are a part of tinyportal, which I cannot get to. What more info would you like?
Posting Guidelines (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=581.0)
Yes, ad code from "any" ads can screw up the forum.
Why cant you access the blocks?
I dissabled all of the ads, and it is still not working. I cannot access any of the settings related to tp. If you would like i can setup a test account so you can see.
Are you using a TP theme? I noticed that TP is working with the default theme
I am using the default smf theme. Should I be using different? I would rather not change the theme if possible, that way I don't have to manually install my mods on the new one.
You dont need to change your theme but, TP is working you have the left column set up :idiot2:
Also, did you uninstall all your mods before installing TP
yes, but when I try to go into the admin side, weather it be in the admin pannel, or from the homepage, it just brings me to the forum.
That is odd, huh...
Don't know what could have caused that one ???
Try going to the direct link:
http://www.awsomeforum.com/forum/smf/index.php?action=admin
I notice you have redirection setup, could be an issue there. If you can't get to the direct link, you might need to check out your web settings for redirection.
I can get there, but if I go to tinyportal settings, it doesn't work.
when did this start ? When was the last time you could actually reach the admin pages of tinyportal ??
What did you do the last time you where there.. think back ::)
did you create a block.. or maybe an article.. maybe changed some settings.. what was the last thing you did in there before being locked out ? And what did you do after that.. :o

You're going to have to be a bit more descriptive if you need help.
We can guess all day long. As IchBin suggested, a test Admin login would be very helpful or a screen shot at least.
I notice the Site Map mod and a guest book popup.. But thats no basis to hazard a guess. And we're now 2 pages into this and still no closer at all to solving the problem.
Ok I have setup a test account with the proper permissions.
Username: test1
password: test
I have never been in the settings, I installed it, and could not change the settings.
I am not an expert....but it looks like your problem is not solely related to TP. You do not seem to have a fully functioning SMF. Within the SMF admin, you do not have a full set of functions - or any for that matter.
terry
Definately, I didn't even see a package manager, how have you been installing mods?
I didn't make an admin account, just one that can work with tp. Is that a problem?
Try to Uninstall TP
and then re-Install
If that dosent help, try a manual install
Manual install, that doesen't sound good! I re-installed it and still not working. I guess I will do it manually. I will let you know how it goes when I am done.
well dont worry
first what u may wana do is upload the TP files only via FTP
http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item744
because I believe you are missing the TP files for the admin section
JUST upload all the folders in that package to ur forum root
replacing the older files
make sure they are all uploaded properly
without uninstalling?
yes without uninstaling, it will just replace files, the rest of the settings are stored in the database so it wont effect them
also make sure u have 14 files with the name starting with TP... in this folder...
