Title: Problems with ssi block
Post by: tick on April 26, 2007, 04:47:41 AM
I am using a ssi block on my forum to try it out to see how it looks and it runs over into my forum.  Has anyone encountered this and know a fix.  I am using smf1.1.2 and tp.98  with firefox 2.0

edit:  also when I make it a top views block or a top reply block it stays the same.  It still says the same thing like the picture rather its view or reply

It looks like the data and what not is greater than the size of the block, there are ways to limit those with php which will make the posts longer than than a some defined width show periods and what not but I am not an expert like the staff here it though, using a table will make it fit in the block much more cleanly

this is a built in function in tp.  there is no way to edit this via the block.

Well I still use the beta version and have no idea bout the new release... but is this RSS feed? there are ways to manipulate that data to show  how you want it to show

the only other thing I can think of to make this work is to change the font size in your css...but this would effect all your blocks...wonder if anyone else has a better solution

yes that could be done but I dont want it to change all the other blocks I have.  I guess for now I will not worry with it.  I just dont understand why when I change it from most views to most replies it doesn't change the block.
