Title: English Icons
Post by: dreamy_me on April 17, 2007, 05:36:39 PM
Hi bloc, and everyone else,

I have a problem with the Leviathan theme, all the English (I think) are all red 'x' in the reply to message box.

I have done the overwrite but they still continue as red x.

Thanks for any indicators what could be the problem. I am on 1.1.2 version.

Are the button images in the Leviathan theme folder?
Looks like the images are missing or in the wrong place.
Right click one of them, select properties and see where the path to the images are pointing to.

Hi Zetan,

I looked at the folder and all the images are in the English, at the point of admin, broswe' I would expect the whole complete zip to upload so they logically should have appeared.

I have also just looked for the files at my host, here is one such link which I will remove shortly from here.

Thanks for your reply!

Looking now again it looks like the BBc icons, not the English..*doh.

You're welcome... Did you manage to fix it?
And is the site in a subdomain?
Can I have a link to your site? I'll have a quick look before I hit the hay.

The themes seem to have got corupted somehow,
When I clicked reply SMF default turned up, when viewing the message then Leviathan theme was visable..strange behavior...

I had only just installed the software yeserday so I did a new install just now.

Thanks for all your help. not sure if to use a new theme for the time being.

Hi rider,
No, because when I went to my host cpanel all the icons were there so once I saw that there was no need to upload again.

I am sure I am uploading new themes correctly by browse in SMF for the zip so I hav'nt a clue how the defult can 'wander' into a new theme.

I may try a new theme sometime, but not yet.

Thanks rider.

When you say host cpanel do you mean your FTP?Also the version of the theme is it current?I just install it on a test site and all the images show up but it looks diff.then the image that you provided.Do you have TP installed?

Hi rider,

I am worried. The same thing is happening to jasidog theme, red x on the post icons. I am running SMF 1.12 version

I even tried FTP, and also my host file manager, browse so I don't know what the problem is here. Default has no errors.

I have a javascript in themes.template.php for the stats, and a Javascript Bichon Frisé dog clock from Amterdam which is in the fader.

No Mods.

Thanks rider.

Have you tried CHMODing the folder for your theme?
Some hosts will automatically CHMOD all new files to something like 555 to prevent security breaks because someone was an idiot.
This could cause you some trouble. Try changing the permissions to say 666 or 777.
That may help.

Thanks Geek,

I have to go to host cpanel this morning anyway to look at the overnight stats so I can have a look. I did think of chmod yesterday but thought I would upload from new to see if that works. I must say I never had this problem before. Fantastic is usually pretty smart at install, lets see what they are.

;D

No Geek,

As I thought all folders are on 777, so I have now no idea what the problem could be.

Black22 is ok, or seems to be,

I think I was missing Shockwave player.
