Title: Quick Question

I tried to install/update to TP 9.8 on an SMF1.1.2 forum that currently has TP9.6 installed. Using the package manager I got a lot of unsucessful test warnings. Having read these instructions...

As always its advised to make backups before any update, and to not proceed if you get any "failure" on the install screen. That is a sign that something can't be changed and thus may create problems for your TP installation afterwards - if it works at all.

Can I proceed and try the manual install as an alternative or will doing so frag up my forum?
