Hello ;D
How I can the board on the frontpage, so that the User by first visit see the actualy posts and the forum on the top ;D
Thx for help ;D
That feature is not available yet. Setting the front page to show the forum only shows the posts and not the forum currently. This is on Bloc's todo list.
ok thx ;D
I got around that by creating an index.html file with a meta redirect to my index.php?action=forum page.
Only problem now is that it is confusing to people when they click the "home" link and go to a page they didn't expect to see. It would be nice to do it the right way.
couldn't we code the home button to go to index.php?action=forum ? i haven't looked at it yet, but I had planned no getting around it this way.
will this not work?
i just want the entire forum, with the sidebar. as far as the articles go, i use a announcement forum, but I could always make the link that says "forum" now, into a "articles" button.
basically flip-flop the tp existing functionality.
In TPadmin on "Frontpage settings": just add which Board ÂÃ, it is you want to show, like General Discussion, Intros, et-cetera.. with an Article. :)

I don't quite understand what you are saying here. I want to see boardindex instead of the articles. IF people want to see articles, which would most likely be empty, then there would be a button (replacing the forum button) that would say "articles". hopefully that clarifies. :)
It's not possible with TP right now. I think that option is on Bloc's todo list though.

would my idea, as above, work? Replace the home button link to =forum, and then just replace the forum button with a article button, and use a meta redirect to send to the new "home" button upon entering the site?
i.e. type www.sitenamehere.com...redirect to index.php?action=forum. that would give the boardindex...and then from there the home button would send back to index.php?action=forum. would that work? easier way to do this? I haven't looked at the code yet to see if this is possible...just an idea that I had. I can't wait for the new version for this feature and for the block collapse feature...would love to collapse individual blocks.
thanks alot Bloc! and IchBin for your quick and helpful responses. :)
I tried to meta-direct approach on TPv0.5 earlier..but on some servers it got in a loop, so I quickly went away from it.
What I am doing now is rather have it as a option, which is checked in Load.php. Depending on that it will use the either action=forum , or nothing, to show the forum. If nothing, then the "frontpage" will have to be called from action=tportal instead.
Which ever works best.
You can show posts on frontpage from a certain board catagory.(not sure if that's what you want. It's in the TP settings.

I have looked in the TP settings and did not see this anywhere. Is this a code change in TPadmin.php??
I'm not sure if this is where I should post his so please forgive me. I would like to feature on the boards on my forum on the front page. I want it to look like the board is actually there so I can go read posts and make replies etc etc.
I would like to lmit the usergroups that can access this frontpage view. Is it a phpbox of some kind?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
