Print Page - Links won't show properly

I'm trying to put some very simple links...but TP won't allow it for some reason. I can get an image to show up using BB code, but it won't let me create a link out of that image.
If I try to use html, it won't even show the image...rather, it shows all the code! I thought this dropdown menu said "html & BBC" but its not taking either one correctly

When I finally got it to do a clickable image, it tries to link you to "http://www.mysite.com"http://www.linksite.com"

Where are you trying to add a link and with what feature in TP ? Block ? article ?
And if you use a html block as one example the link and image should look like this
