Title: Galleries
Post by: mmeadwolfe on November 10, 2005, 05:42:44 PM
I don’t know how many people this would help and all, but I thought I may as well suggest it. You could include a Photo Gallery that could be shown on its on page or even display a random photo in a block. Another idea is an audio and/or video gallery. Just some ideas, don’t have to like them, or even put them in. I was also thinking about a download page, but that can easily be created using an article so scratch that idea.

Bloc does plan to have a photo gallery module in the not so distant future, Dont know about vidoe or audio though. Coppermine works well bridged to SMF. I use it using an iFrame in a static Page. It all looks like it is one site.

Mine has lasted about a year, as long as it stays up till the TP one is released I'm happy.

Please explain how to do this, I use Coppermine as well with the SMF bridge, all works well, but the static page thing sounds awesome! How do I do that?

There is a mod called the static page mod over at SMF. I installed that, then used an iFrame to bring the gallery into it. The page is linked from an html menu block on the left of the site. Using the Coppermine Classic theme, with some alterations to the CSS, it looks as if it is built in (until you see the coppermine copyright at the bottom, that is).
