If you could make a "Random Poll" block, not using the ssi functions. Iv found a few problems with it, mainly bing that you have to vote and there is no link to read the thred before voting. The second problem is if you have already voted, you dont get the results! (I know that that is SMF's problem thoue)
Another idea is a "Site Poll" block so an admin could make a poll and it would show up for a few weeks but it doesent have a thred associated with it.
I like the ssi_fuction. It picks the latest poll, so I don't have to worry about changing it.
Yes it is nice, but I have voted on ALL the polls on my site and now im stuck with the same question and it just shows the choices. It dosent give the results. I guess I could just edit the SSI.php file.
Actually a site poll would be something, i am thinking about that.
For the SSI function..its best to just let it do its stuff, since it can be slightly different in different versions of SMF.
Yes, I guess that is true. Forgot that people are still using the older version of SMF.
