I am adding vendor section as part of block and download management, and I would appreciate it if it is possible to upload vendor application in .pdf format (so vendor can't alter disclaimer or rules) for vendors to download and apply.
Many thanks!

I'm not sure I understand why you want to upload a PDF file to TinyPortal.net. Or are you asking how to allow someone to upload a PDF file to your own site?
If so, simply add the file extension to the list of allowed file extensions:
SMF ACP -> TinyPortal -> Downloads Manager -> Settings -> Allowed file extensions:
Bah.. beat me to it Ich!

Actually I want to upload vendor application myself for prospect vendors to download and apply before submitting the application form along with payment by mail. And generally, I am more comfortable using .pdf format rather than to use .doc because you could edit .doc but not with .pdf
I'll give it a try this afternoon and let you know how it turned out. Thanks!

I added pdf to Allow file extensions as instructed and tried to upload then got this message:
Currently you can only upload one of the following file formats:
zip,rar,doc,jpg,gif,png, pdf,
Your file was: vendorapplication.pdf
seems like you have a space between png, pdf,
it should be png,pdf with out the space between them, just the comma

Where you added this:
zip,rar,doc,jpg,gif,png, pdf,
to it.
NOTICE: each file type has no spaces. You have a space that is like
, pdfAlso remove the comma at the end unless you have more after the pdf file type.
It should look like this:
zip,rar,doc,jpg,gif,png,pdf

Edit// oh she beat me to it lol
Left the comma out of my replie on how it SHOULD look :coolsmiley:
It worked! Problem solved! Many thanks!!!
Ok, want to hear weird part???
I tried to download the same pdf file I just uploaded and I got a error message saying that the file is either unavailable or corrupted while sending email.. (it was never sent by email)
So I decided to compress it into .zip file and upload it... then download it and could open the zip file only to find out that the pdf file is gone. Basically opening zip file with nothing in it.
WTF? Am I missing something??
give me a link to your site
Change the permissions to the tp-downloads folder and the content inside the folder.
A common file permissionerror some hosts have, but by changing the permissions to the tp-downloads folder most of the issues will be solved

755 or 777? It is already 755
The link to my site is http://www.wildhogsheaven.com
I went to your download settings and after PDF for file types you put a comma. Removed the comma and it works fine
zip,rar,doc,jpg,gif,png,pdf,
Should be
zip,rar,doc,jpg,gif,png,pdf
As Humanporkrind said above ;)
If 755 doesent work, set it to 777

The test file you uploaded checked out ok! The file I uploaded didn't, but I haven't tried upload anything after you fixed the problem so I will let you know when I test it tonight.
