Hello,
I downloaded TinyPortal 0.9.7 from this thread ( http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=13225.0 ) and then uploaded it to SMF 1.1.2 package manager and clicked on "Add Mods"
This is error message I got:
Quote Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.
When checking the list out, all has passed except for ./Themes/default/index.template.php (failed)
I haven't installed the mods yet, but I was wondering if I should CHMOD that file to 777 and see??
If it failed, its because the index.template.php file has been modified in some way. Whether it be a mod or something you did manually by hand. Either way, you'll need to add the code to that file manually for TinyPortal or put a new index.template.php file from the SMF download and see if that fixes the failure.
Just so you know, I ran this installation on my "Test" SMF 1.1.2 because I am testing this new forum along with few new mods just so I can see if I like it before abandoning phpBB2 and move over to SMF 1.1.2. So I figured that I had nothing to lose and it is not like error code would explode so I went ahead and installed it anyway. As it turned out, the installation was successful and everything seems to work. So if anyone ever ran into this same message, then don't worry because it will work ok (I hope!).

3 Mods I did was SMF Gallery, SMF Trader, and Custom Profiles (unlimited profile). Turned OK!
Do you still see the columns on your frontpage then?
Yes, I restarted the forum and saw the portal layout. ;)
very odd. Did you have TP installed previously?
To tell you the truth, I uploaded the original 0.9.7 script and the package manager would not let me install it so I deleted it. Then I went on this site and found your sticky post and downloaded the one that was designed for SMF 1.1.2 and uploaded it. So I don't know if that affected anything or not?
