I have gone into the TP Settings like a billion times and have selected a editor to popup and work. The articles still have no editor, and neither do the blocks :P
I am hoping to fix this but am not sure, if I need to post files let me know which ones :uglystupid2:
+ 1 question....
I did the manual install for TP097 so it would work on my smf 1.1.1 forum a while back. I want to know what files I delete on this manual install so I can install via package manager next time. :D can anyone find this out.
The manual install may not have included the editors and might be why they're not showing up as well ???

Did you see the temp fix - here (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=12949.msg107911#msg107911). Worked for me :up:

you have to manually edit your database.
This fix:

You need to go into phpMyAdmin for your site and edit the database. Go to the smf_tp_data table (smf_ is the default SMF dbprefix, yours might be different - just make sure it is the tablename that ends in tp_data).
In that table, browse the rows. Find a row that has column type set to 2 and column ID_MEMBER set to <your member id> (you can get your member ID number from the smf_members table, or in the SMF member list itself). The value and item columns are probably both 0. You can simply delete this row from the smf_tp_data table, and you will once again have access to your editors under that member.

Hmmm im confused. My member id is 1 so I delete that row and i also delete another table that has 2 in the type? or is the only one i delete the one that has the id 25 and value and item both zeros?
I need clarification :)

- What I did was filter the smf_tp_data table by
type - When I got to the row that had type 2, then I looked for my
ID_Member, in your case '1'
- Then I checked that it had
value and
item columns at '0'
Select only that row and delete it :up:

MY DB is mixed up or something.
The row that has type 2 and item and value 0 was the one with the id set to 25 and member id set to 9:
25 2 9 0 0
The row that has 1 in the id has the row like:
1 0 3 0 11

@Brian
It's not the id column you need to look at, its the ID_MEMBER column. ID_MEMBER is your user id number. Since your user id is 1, you need to find a row that has column
ID_MEMBER = 1 (in this case your member id) and column
type = 2 (type of 2 is the editor preference).
If you cannot find a row in the table matching, then you have a different problem.
The
value column portrays which editor you have chosen as your personal preference.
0 = No Editor (hence the problem because it prevents you from getting the editor selection radio buttons)
1/2 = FCK
3 = WhizzyWig
The
item column should be 0.
Well the only one that has the...
type = 2
has the ID_Member = 9
also alot of others have 1 in the ID_Member
Screenshot has been attached.
Brianjw
Then you have a different issue, unless you didn't check all pages of the result. To validate this, you can click on the SQL tab in phpMyAdmin, then enter the following SQL code in the textarea:
SELECT * FROM smf_tp_data WHERE type = 2
Click Go button. That will show you all rows where column type = 2.
Oh I fount it :D now what do I do with it...
NOTE: ID_Member = 1 Type = 2 ID = 32 Value = 0 Item 0
Looks good. :) now what do I do with this row? ???
Brianjw
You can simply delete that row. Click the delete button in that row (the red X).
Thanks :) That fixes it :D
Well I followed this and deleted the row but nothing is different. I still don't have an editor in either blocks or articles.
- was the row you deleted for your ID_MEMBER = <your member id> and type = 2?
- Do you have an editor enabled in the Settings? If you do, try switching it to the other editor from what you currently have selected ( FCKeditor <--> WhizzyWig ) located at SMF ACP -> TinyPortal -> Settings -> Use the WYSIWYG editor?:.
- Do you have TP 097?
If yes to all above, then you have a different issue possibly from a corrupt install or otherwise.
I'm having trouble WhizzyWig. All icons (image, link bold ....) are disabled.
For example if I will add image icon does not.
