I've tryed to search this issue but can't find anyone else with this problem. Anyway, after installing TP, the front page has a path (http://www.apwu.us/forum/index.php). I would like for anyone to be able to simple type (www.apwu.us). Did I do something wrong with the install or is this the way it will have to be ? :uglystupid2:

TP only installs into your forum directory. If you want TP to be your homepage you have to move your forum into the root of your site too.
Or point your domain at the forum folder, some ISP/Web Host control panels will let you do this.
Thanks Men,,I understand now.. ;) After I fix this, I will try to install coppermine..Will it make any difference to Coppermine which of your two methods I use ? :-\ I'm thinking too myself, O.K. Should I just remove everthing off the webb space and start over ? Or, would it still work too just pull everything out of the /forum/ folder ? Sorry, if I'm a pain. I do want this thing to work right when I finish !
O.K. If, anyone is going through the same thing, this is what I did. I took down everthing off the webb space and started all over again. After I installed simple Machine the second time I got an error message at the top of the page that said something like:The default theme folder is in the wrong place, please click here to fix the problem. :knuppel2: So, I clicked the spot and for some reason the new install still had the folder /forum/ as the path to look for the theme. I just took out the word forum and everything looks good ! :idiot2: Next I will be asking questions in the Bridge board because that is what I will try next. Coppermine :coolsmiley:

Some FTP clients do not install all of the files when selecting them all. Try downloading the default in the Themes again because that's what I had to do when first installing SMF ;)

Got it Brian...Thanks for the suggestion. I'm reading up on installing Coppermine now. I just notice that my smiles are not as cool as these. What smilies are these called and how do I get them ? Anyone know ?
To get the smilies that are here, right click on each one and download it. No other special skills required. They don't come in a package.
