I first discovered SMF a year ago when my Host said it recommended SMF over other forum software for use on their servers. This was my very first experience at having my own site and so very different from just being a site administrator. I had asked at one time what TP did but being so new to everything on this end, didn't grasp the explanation until I discovered this site and read the docs pages just to see what it did and if it would meet the needs of a new site we have aquired.
I want to say thank you to the development team for Tiny Portal it makes things so simple for someone like me still learning the owner end of websites. I now intend to add it to the site I started last year so I can have a proper and streamlined frontpage and we are seriously considering adding it to the new site as a new main front page format and for the downloads manager as the new site will host over 2000 user download files.
I look forward to the new features you will add to make the owner and site visitor experience for anyone using SMF & TP such and easy enjoyable experience.

Welcome to TP.net! Glad you like it! Always good to hear thanks for the hard work. Although I will point out that most of the hard work to make TP what it is today is more to do with one man. And that would be Bloc. Developer of TP. We are just the support team who try to free his hands up to get more work done. :D
Just remember TP is still beta, and to use it wisely. :) Enjoy the portal and good luck on your site!
Glad to hear it. :)
This was exactly the intent of TP from the beginning..to make it easier to combine a forum with other pages - and other things one could have use for in a typical website/community.
Was wondering though as I looked today how to get the gallery manager to work or does the SMF gallery mod have to be installed first?
and the same with the
Link Manager - links mod ??
Team Page Manager - staff page mod ??
I have no problem letting you guys know what I think of the hard work that goes into these things. Those of us that don't have the knowledge to do what you do appreciate it and as far as I'm concerned just don't say it enough and I wanted to be sure that it was said at least by me.
Once everthing is all set up I'll post links to the 2 sites where this is being used in the right topic.
You'll notice when you click on those that it says "not implemented". :)
That means they are just dumby links for features to come.
Well I for one have use of both of them at both sites I have and look forward to their future implementaion. Until then I'll use the mods that I require. I try not to mod to much but will until these are completed and ready. again thanks so much
