Title: NEWBIE needs help

Hi

I just install SMF 1.1 webinstaller. After working on phpbb, I find SMF easy to work with. Thank you. I would like to install TP, but, I'm not certain how to do it. I have read the instructions which in one instance it tells you to open $boardIndex.php, my files show boardindex.php. Am I using the right version?

Tiny Portal is a mod for SMF, you can install it through the package manager in your admin panel of your forum.

To get some hints and help, start by reading some of the posts made in this forum, they have a lot of info before you start to install TP :)
Reading some first will give you more time to enjoy the installation instead of start working out wrongs and errors after a wrongly made install :)

Thank you for this info. I tried to find TP in the package manager but, didn't see it in the list of downloads. Am I search in the wrong place? please advise. Thanks for the quick response

it's not installed on smf default Theme nor is the css updated, they do not have any TP images in there images folder: http://www.obestyfriends.com/Themes/theme2/images ..and theres No: TinyPortal v0.9.7 Ã,Â© Bloc @ the bottom....

i told them i'd help but they say they got it.......Not!

Looks like your installation did not work correctly, from looking here, I see you must have tried.

and here I just see part of TP,

You may need to manually install it now to get it working correctly, or uninstall then try a fresh install.

Ok. You're right..I uploaded through Packages...so now I'm really confused.

sometimes things just don't install right, uninstall it and try again, which one did you download?
